Samsung i8510

Friends !!! Days have gone when mobiles were simply used for voice calls or short messages. Now a days cell phones are fully multimedia, web enabled computer like devices that goes into your pocket.
Samsung i8510 also known as innov8 with 8mp of camera and 8/16 gb on board memory plus micro SD card slot for up to 16 gb of micro SD memory card is more then enough for an average user. 2.8 inches of display with 16m colors is a real fun for multimedia enthusiasts. Sound quality is great with two stereo speakers on the rear side. Thanks to 3.5mm audio output jack for letting me connect my favorite headphones to the phone. I love watching my favorite movies and videos on TV through the same 3.5mm audio output jack also functions as TV-out.
photos with 8mp camera of innov8 are the best I’ve ever have, very sharp, colors are great, and detail of images is crystal clear. Capturing videos with the mobile is real fun with 30fps, and even 120fps when you capture slow motion videos.
This phone runs on Symbian OS v 9.3 series 60 rel. 3.2 the same OS as on Nokia N96. I had n96 before i8510 and trust me i8510 is far ahead from n96 in many ways the first and worst was the built quality on n96, cheap looking keypad, blurry images etc.
Anyways i8510 is a slider phone with mirror black plastic body except the back side battery cover which is made of some metal, key pad is flat and easy to use, D-pad is also very convenient, and in the center we have touch sensitive optical track pad, very handy especially when browsing web pages.

Things I Love in i8510:
1) Symbian OS v 9.3 , Series 60 rel. 3.2
2) 2.8 inches display with 16m colors
3) Optical trackpad
4) 3.5 mm audio jack
5) 8 GB/16 GB storage plus micro SD card slot, 128 MB RAM
6) 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, auto lens shutter, flash
7) VGA30fps, QVGA120fps
8) TV-out

Thing I Don’t like:
1) Mirror black body catches finger prints
2) No kick stand for viewing videos as on n96
3) Standby time is only 20 – 36 hours on average use
4) Display might get dusty from inside when extensively used outdoors

  1. Hey. Nice description. I got mine some days ago. Did you allready find out how to switch off or lower the sound when you want to take a photo or video with build in camera?! I used older phones where was that ussual in "silent mode" profile....
